One of world’s largest inland deltas, the Okavango lies within the sand filled Kalahari basin. Every year rains from the Angolan highlands make their way south-eastwards and replenish the myriads of meandering channels of the delta. Wildlife abounds but can be dispersed as there is obviously no  need for animals to cluster around scarce water supplies. However, encounters are often spectacular and the crystal clear waters offer a great photographic backdrop.
